We are ready to Pivot with you

toes in the sand

The Pivot Program was inspired by the journeys of three underemployed individuals with an aptitude for creative problem-solving and strong communication skills, who broke into the industry through sheer luck. This mentorship program was founded on the belief that luck shouldn’t be necessary and there is room for more tenacious candidates who don’t fit the industry recruiting blueprint.

A number of our members may have been out of the workforce or have come from non-technology industries.  These members may need help with core business skills and technical skills in addition to skills specific for working with Microsoft Business Applications.  They may also need guidance with interview skills, resume building, exposure to project work, practice with business interaction, and attire.

Other members may already have had a career with project experience and professional acumen that allow them to step into consulting roles in the near future in such areas as Sales, Training, Business Analysis, and Functional Consulting.

The program has grown into open enrollment, weekly virtual classes to empower candidates through technical training, collaborative problem solving and professional polish.

  • Britta Rekstad is an engaged and passionate champion for the underrepresented in technology fields. She coaches individuals from all walks of life who are looking to improve their career prospects by moving into the Microsoft Business Applications Platform.

Additionally, Britta is a recipient of the Microsoft Business Solutions MVP award and evangelizes the extensibility of the Microsoft platform during her many appearances on industry podcasts, community events, and conferences.

  • Tiffany is a functional consultant, business analyst, and Microsoft Certified Trainer. She is one of the first students to graduate from the Pivot Program and has grown to become an advocate and champion of those who may follow her same path.

An artist at heart and an analyst at mind, Tiffany is passionate about creating opportunity for others; especially those in often overlooked or undervalued positions.

  • As a Business Applications MVP and Microsoft Certified Trainer, Ed enjoys learning each day and sharing that excitement with others. In his spare time, Ed volunteers with several programs serving veterans, children, and local communities…but his favorite is fostering orphaned kittens. Because kittens.

  • Sarah is an Enterprise Solution Architect, Microsoft MVP, Microsoft Certified Trainer, and a super geek. Sarah wears the geek badge with pride as she loves to share how technology can help improve people's lives.

Sarah's passion with technology is one of the reasons she likes working with the Pivot Program. She lives for those moments when she helps someone learn or perform a knew skill they never thought they could do with software or technology.

  • Julie is a business owner, solution architect, author, trainer and Microsoft MVP focused on Microsoft Business Applications. She has spent much of her career supporting others and advocating for change.

Opportunity is sometimes hard to see, and even harder to accept. Having grown up with few role-models, she knows how tough it can be to take the first step.
